1)      CAHSEE Testing for Sophomores: CAHSEE testing is scheduled for all 10th graders on Tuesday, February 7th and Wednesday, February 8th.  Sophomores with last names A-H will meet in Room 1 (Mr. Chiles’ room) and Sophomores with last names I-Z will meet in Room 6 (Foods Room).  10th graders should report directly to either Room 1 or the Foods Room at 8:22 on testing day and will continue through 4th period.  Students will be released to go back to their regular class when their testing is completed. 

2)      Financial Lit will meet in Room 7 (Art Room) during CAHSEE Testing days.  AP English & 3rd English 1will meet in the Computer Lab/Library.  Mrs. Frisk’s Algebra 1 and Integrated Math classes will meet in Room 7 (Art Room).

3)      SAT Registration:  Feb. 10 is the registration deadline for the March 10 SAT test  date. February 24 is the late registration date.

4)      Date change for Spanish Club meeting to Tuesday, February  14  during lunch in Señora Potepan’s room.

5)      Baseball, Softball, Tennis and Golf   signup sheets still in the office.

6)      Baseball practice today  at 3:30 on the field.

7)      Softball Meeting tonight at 6:00 p.m. in the gym.

8)      Yearbooks:  they are still $50.00 but the price is going up next month (to $65.00).  Order now!

9)      Academic Rally on Friday, February 10th.

10)  Staff Inservice Days – February 13 and 27.  Students will be released at 12:30

11)  Math Tutor needed for a 10 year old girl, 2-3 days per week, every other week for 1 ½ hours per day.  It would be after school somewhere between 4:00 to 6:00 p.m.  and the pay is $10.00 per hour.  If you are interested please see Ms. DeZordo.

12)  Red Ribbon Week meeting:  Quinn, Danielle, Andrea, Nicole, Sweatbands, and Callie on Thursday, Feb. 9 at  lunch time in the library.

13)  Volleyball Program for girls in grades 5-12 starting Tuesday March 13 through Thursday, May 31.  (will not meet April 10, 12, 19 nor May 1 & 3).  All levels welcome.  This 2012 Youth Volleyball Program meets Tuesdays & Thursdays from 4-5:30 p.m. at the Arcata Community Center, 321 Community park Way.  Fees:  $55 Arcata resident/$65 non-resident.  Program is led by Arcata High School Volleyball coaches. Registration open until Friday, March 9 at 5:00 p.m.  Call the Arcata Recreation Division a 822-7091 for more information.

14)  Girls State Interviews are scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 9 beginning at 10:00 a.m. in the counselor’s office.
