Mrs. Bergenske
Mrs. Bergenske is enjoying her 2nd year of teaching kindergarten at FES. Before joining the staff at Ferndale, she taught two years at Paradise Elementary School in Modesto, and six years of kindergarten and one year of 3rd grade in Columbia, California. She really enjoys teaching at Ferndale because of the caring community and supportive parents.
Mrs. Bergenske believes that students learn best when they are engaged and active and that the teacher's job is to create a learning environment where all children can make progress and feel successful. Her hobbies include traveling, photography and scrap booking. Mrs. Bergenske has been married for almost 20 years to her sweetheart, Mark. They have two fabulous children, Mason and Kyla. |

Mr. Meyers
Mr. Meyers has been the principal of Ferndale Elementary School since 2003. He has accumulated over 20 years of experience in public education as a teacher, school counselor, and administrator. Mr. Meyers has a bachelor's of arts degree in liberal studies and two masters's degrees. One is in school counseling, the other in school administration.
Mr. Meyers believes that the key to a successful school is positive relationships amongst our students, parents, and staff.
He and his wife Melody have been married for 17 years and have four daughters, all of whom attend Ferndale Elementary School. In his spare time, Mr. Meyers likes working on renovating their house and going to the beach with this family. |
