Ferndale Elementary School Sports

Ferndale Elementary School has sports programs in basketball, cheerleading and volleyball.  Ferndale is a member of the Eel River Valley Schools Athletic Association (ERVSAA) along with Miranda Scotia and Fortuna, and competes with teams outside the league from Humboldt and Del Norte Counties. Although F.E.S. doesn't offer baseball, softball, football, soccer or wrestling, these programs are available through  youth leagues in our community.

In order to be eligible, a student must meet state mandated eligibility criteria. A 2.0 grade point average with no F’s is required. In order to participate, each student must be covered by an insurance policy. Our office has more information on insurance for sports participants. Sports'  programs are based on developing the athletic and physical potential of our students. Team members are asked to make a commitment of dedication and sportsmanship at all times to their school and families.
