Cinco de Mayo

 Ferndale Elementary School 's 19th annual Cinco de Mayo festival will be held this year on Saturday, May 3rd. The school celebration is scheduled for Friday, May 9th. Under the direction of Senora McCulloch, event founder and coordinator, around 85 students K-12 participate in several fiestas. These feature traditional Mexican folkloric dances as well as authentic dress and delicious food. The town festival begins with a parade down Main Street and is followed with dancing and food at the Ferndale Community Center.
